Attention Class of 1978 Alumni

Can you believe it has been 40 years since our graduation? Now that we are well into our life's story, we need to pause and take some time to reconnect with one another & the school that was a significant stepping stone in our lives and careers, and reflect with others those precious memories of our time at Alfred State!

This is not only a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gather and celebrate our heritage, but also to make our mark in the history of Alfred State. We would be the first class to establish a legacy fund to support current and future students. Please consider giving back to the college by making a donation to the Class of 1978 Fund. Help establish the Class of 1978 Legacy Fund

The 40th Reunion is a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only gather again and create new memories, but to establish a legacy for our class to be forever remembered.

For as little as $11,000, we can create an endowed "Class of 1978 Legacy Fund" as well as a living legacy. The endowed fund ($10,000) will not only continue through perpetuity, it will forever assist students and the College to provide scholarships, assist with new academic programming and technology for current and new students. If completed, we would be the first class to have an endowed fund created as well as a living legacy.

A tree will be planted with a nice marker/plaque ($1,000 to be taken from $11,000) providing a living legacy for the Class of ’78. In addition to the “Class of ‘78” being engraved on the marker, donors of $500 or more will also have their names (or name in honor or in memory of a loved one) placed on the marker recognizing their commitment to improving not only the aesthetics of the college, but to the College and it’s mission. However, please know all and any amounts are needed and are greatly appreciated!!  Please see the suggested levels:

Suggested donations:

- $50

- $100

- $500 (at this level and above your name or the name of a loved one, if your gift is in memory, will be placed on the plaque/marker)

- $1,000

We sincerely hope to hear from and see many of you on Aug. 18!
